On Saturday, January 21st, we had our second annual Codorus State Park Winter Festival. Thank you to everyone that was involved in this event. We couldn't do this event without the support of the Friends group, park staff, our sponsors, and all of the community support. A special thank you goes to the Winter Festival committee, park maintenance crew, and the fire companies that were involved. We had 70 people take the Eagle Plunge into the lake. The children had a lot of fun at the craft tent, frozen bologna toss, and the Rhino's obstacle course. The ice and wood carvers were a big hit with our visitors. We had two special mascots at our winter festival, Downtown from York Revolution and Digger from Columbia Gas. Thank you also to Shaver's Creek Environmental. It was a great event overall!
CODORUS BLAST RECOGNITION
HALLOWEEN IN THE PARK 2016
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support this year's Halloween in the Park fundraiser, held Fri and Sat, Oct 21 and 22. Special thanks to the Halloween Committee for their year long planning of the event, and for everyone's labor setting up and tearing down. The support we had from the community was outstanding, with at least 75 different businesses and organizations donating funds, services, items or hayride displays. Almost 100 campers endured the rain on Friday and the wind on Saturday. Only a few left early, so they deserve another round of applause for filling the children's trick or treat bags to bulging. Great job everyone!
